Coachmen Catalina

Ana has been my much cherished home from home for 4 years. She has transported and sheltered me on wonderful adventures around 10 countries in Europe. But life too moves on and now, with reluctance, I must part with her and persue another chapter of my life. She's only had one previous owner, and never let me down, so I'm hoping to find someone who will look after her, as well as have lots of fun with her. If you're looking for plenty of space, a bit of luxury, masses of amenities and a bit of magic, then give me a call or email me and let's have a chat or arrange for you to meet her. Ana weighs over ten tons so you'll need an HGV licence to drive her, but in the scheme of things that's not really a big deal - if I can pass an HGV test in three months in my sixties, then I'm sure you, or anyone can.

She has one feature you're unlikely to find on other motorhomes of any kind: a special satellite dish and wireless router that will connect your laptop to the internet, at almost broadband speeds, anywhere in Europe (so long as the southern sky is not blocked by trees, buildings or mountains!)

Read on for my description of all Ana's features and extras, but there's no substitute for seeing with your own eyes so if you're tempted then why not get in touch and pay her a visit? We're currently in Oxfordshire but if you're really interested then I'm happy to bring her closer to wherever you are for a genuine viewing.

  • A huge full-wall slide-out containing both sofa-bed and dinette. This more or less doubles the main living area.
  • The dinette makes up to a small double bed so with the sofa-bed in the lounge this motorhome sleeps 6. In addition to the driver and passenger there are seatbelts for 6. The driver and passenger seats swivel to become very comfortable armchairs in the lounge. The lounge also has a 3-door sideboard/desk unit providing massive storage possibilities and with a retracting LCD TV/DVD.
  • The large roll-out awning provides shade from the blazing sun, shelter from showers and somewhere pleasant to enjoy a drink or a meal on balmy evenings. There are detachable 'patio' walls for the awning to turn it into a cosy enclosed space and these are brand new, never been used.
  • On the road the 5.9 Cummins rear diesel engine provides loads of power for all driving conditions and is nicely run-in at 71,000 miles. It has a Freightliner chassis, automatic gearbox, cruise control, and air brakes and suspension for a comfortable and quiet ride. At 34ft long enough to provide ample living and sleeping space but has an amazingly good turning circle for manoeuvring onto site pitches. There is a rear view camera and good 2-piece mirrors giving an excellent view all round.
